Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Warped Pinball LLC ("Warped Pinball", "we", "us") handles data when you use Origin. Origin is built for arcade and home pinball score tracking, with minimal data collection focused on core functionality.

Who We Serve

Origin is a public-facing application for arcade patrons and home pinball players. There is no minimum age requirement. Most users are in the United States, including California. This policy reflects U.S. practices and is not currently tailored for GDPR compliance.

Data We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

Email address for account identification and communication
Display name / screen name shown publicly on leaderboards
Password stored securely using industry-standard hashing (never plaintext)
Avatar selection assembled from curated first-party artwork
Pinball scores associated with your account and displayed publicly

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

Uploaded images or files from users
Messages, posts, or social content
Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
Location data (GPS or IP-based)
Cookies beyond basic authentication/session handling
Payment or financial information
Health, biometric, government ID, or other sensitive personal data
Children-specific data

How We Use Your Data

Collected data is used to:

Create and manage accounts
Associate scores with player profiles
Display public leaderboards and player profiles
Send account-related emails (for example, password reset messages)
Send optional event/update notifications
Enable limited venue marketing emails (future feature)

Email communication is limited in scope and is not used for behavior tracking or third-party ad networks.

Data Storage and Security

Data is stored locally at the arcade or installation location. Warped Pinball does not operate a cloud-hosted backend for Origin. HTTPS protects data in transit.

No guarantees are provided regarding:

Encryption at rest
Backup frequency or procedures
Data retention schedules

Data access is limited to the operating arcade owner and Warped Pinball as required for system operation.

Public Information

Screen name, avatar, scores, and initials are visible publicly on leaderboards and can be viewed by anyone using the application, including users without accounts. Public visibility is core to Origin's leaderboard functionality.

Your Rights and Account Management

You can delete your account at any time through your profile page. Upon deletion:

Your account and associated data are permanently removed
No data is retained after deletion
Deletion cannot be undone

Policy Updates

This policy may be updated at any time without proactive notice. The current version is always available at this URL. Continued use of Origin after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Application Platform & Monetization

Origin is primarily a web application. A Fire TV Stick app exists as a wrapper around the web interface and does not collect additional data.

Origin is free for end users. No advertising is displayed, and no payments or transactions occur in the application.
